Kristin Lehmann FNP-BC
Kristin is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in mental health and psychiatric conditions, focusing on medication management. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Jefferson College of Health Sciences and her Master's in Nursing from Radford University Carilion. She plans to pursue a Post-Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Certification this fall. Kristin has provided neonatal, pediatric, and adult care in various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and retail clinics. She is also associated with the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance (FBHA).
Kristin's exposure to increased inpatient psychiatric admissions, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, ignited a passion for providing access to quality mental health care. She continues to dedicate her professional practice to eliminating mental health stigma by empowering patients to be open about their mental health experiences. She believes no person should feel shame or guilt when learning to cope with mental illness. Kristin prioritizes empathy and an easygoing communication style to create a comfortable space to work with her patients on their mental health journey.
